Hello everyone! Today we will take a look at this prize figure from Tokyo Ghoul!
The figure has 3 different kinds, and what I have for you now is the MASKED version.

As usual when we talk about prize figures, a lot of people still hate them (despite the improvements lately). Like say Kaneki deserves far better figures etc..alright alright I get your point. However, also take into consideration that these figures is just something you get from a toy machines. Guys, a piece of advice, lower your expectations to avoid butthurts okay? Stress is bad for health you know lol.
Anyways one thing I have noticed in Tokyo Ghoul is they have lots of flowers in their songs and one of them is this, Red Spider Lily/ Higanbana: the flower of death which is designed all over his base and backdrop. The flower is pretty interesting in my opinion although it’s symbol is ironically sad. Higanbana is a very famous flower in Japan. This flower is associated with loss, longing, abandonment and lost memories. It is believed that if one meets a person (and) one will never see again, this flower will grow along one’s path. Sad right? Thus the flower summarizes Kaneki as a whole. This also reminds me a lot of Enma Ai . . 
Moving on with another complaint that I have been seeing is..why put Kaneki in his Anteiku suit and have a Kakuja sprouting along. In my honest opinion it’s also like questioning life itself or why is there anime at the first place -_-. *Deep Breath* I know there is such a thing called constructive criticism which I avoid personally. 🙂 However instead of the Anteiku outfit or Kakuja I’d rather question the mask. Since ghouls only use it when they are out or most of the time if with the presence of Doves. So yeah, the mask here seems to be unnecessary or rather this figure version is.
Despite its (un)necessity, the mask is pretty well made and it’s one of my favorite stuffs in Tokyo Ghoul. If you were a ghoul and would have to choose a mask, what would yours be like? 🙂
The *Kakugan looks pretty decent in this figure as well (*T/N – term for ghouls eyes)
What’s one thousand minus seven?
I know math has always been a torture to majority of us but it has escalated to a higher level with Kaneki.. however this has been keeping him sane for a while. His nails is quite decent in this figure though the paint is more on brown rather than black and I wish it was gestured the same as when he’s counting.
Kaneki’s incomplete *Kakuja *Kagune. Hey, for a prize this one was made smoothly and precisely! See for yourself. (*T/N :Kagune – an organ like part of a ghoul that serves as a weapon; Kakuja – transformed type of Kagune resulting from cannibalism/rare type)

So yeah that’s all of it again for Kaneki including those complaints and such XD. In general, minus the mask concept I love the figure, overall it is pretty well sculpted. The designs is quite elaborate honestly and I just hope for more Tokyo Ghoul figures of other characters as well, like UTA, PLEASE. Or maybe nendoroids???

Nice read oneesan! I love Tokyo Ghoul and if I were to have a mask I would love the rabbit though Touka has it already 😦 I also agree of not compairing a prize to something like Alter and Koto..I mean why in the first place? O.o Prize versus those are in a total different level.

And true to that..thats why I always emphasized “hey that’s just a prize” but then..there will be others who still say Koto Kaneki is better 😓
Nice level of details considering it is supposed to be a cheap figure. It represents the best stage in Kaneki’s character. I don’t think anyone would want a figure depicting him as a wimp, though.
This must be the first male figure I’ve seen around here. Not so moe, huh?! (Wait! There’s Izaiya up there…)
By the way: If I was a Ghoul, I would use a Kamen Rider mask, of course!
O.O funny you noticed hahahaha but you forgot Hinata of Haikyuu, I also had him here recently. Most of my male or non-moe figures are old like from Slam Dunk, Yuyu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter..

Im not sure which side I am… Both humans and ghouls are struggling to survive in that plot…hmmm Ghoul maybe? Having a mask around is cool xD and I can just feed on dead bodies.. 😑
